The LulzBot Mini 2 Desktop 3D Printer supports various materials. Some materials (like most PLA components used in 3D printers) work best with heated print beds coated with tiki plastic, while others work best on dull glass surfaces. The Mini 2 offers both: You can take out a 6.3 x 6.3-inch glass print bed and remove it. On one side, PEI is plastered with plastic; on the other hand, it is unprotected glass. Regardless of where you are, the print bed can be heated 248 degrees F (120 degrees C), so it will work better with a heated print bed with materials like ABS. The process of rotating the print bed requires undoing the hex screws on each corner, but it doesn't take too long.
