  3. Double check before proceeding that you are using a suitable length screw for the mounting plate thickness used.

    • Shown here is a 5mm thick mounting plate using the supplied M3 x 8mm screws.

    • Screws should stick out from the mounting plate 3mm +/-0.25mm

  4. Ideally Hemera is fastened using x4 M3 screws, however the minimum requirement is 2 screws diagonally positioned on the back side.

  5. Insert x2 M3 square nuts into the empty T-slots on the back side of Hemera.

    • The backside is the side with the drive gear visible. (not the engraving side)

  6. Place the mount on the back side of Hemera. lining up the clearance hole in the mount with the threaded holes of the square nuts. Fasten the x4 M3 x 8mm screws.

    • Fasten the x4 M3 x 8mm screws.

    • Do not over tighten the screws.

  7. Using screws longer than 8mm with a 5mm thick mount will result in damaging the T- slots. Using a mount thinner than 5mm with the supplied 8mm screws result in damaging the T-slots.
    • Using screws longer than 8mm with a 5mm thick mount will result in damaging the T- slots.

    • Using a mount thinner than 5mm with the supplied 8mm screws result in damaging the T-slots.

    • If you are wanting to counter bore the screws make sure the distance from the back of the mount and the counter bore shoulder is 5mm when using the supplied M3 x 8mm screws.

    • Using screws that are too short won't damage anything, it just won't be able to fasten the screw into the square nut.

  9. When attaching part cooling fans, bed levelling sensors or mounting from the side with the fan exhaust, be mindful not to restrict airflow.

    • Blocking the heatsink exhaust will reduce airflow which can lead to heat creep and jamming of the extruder.
