Bearing failed and can't be removed from Aero cover

The hob gear failed in the bearing in the aluminum cover. When I removed and disassembled the extruder the the bearing fell apart but the outer ring remained in the aluminum. I've tried heating the aluminum in the over but the steel ring refuses to budge. What's the process to remove it?

Answer this question I have this problem too

By the sounds of this you are experiencing a bearing gate issue (https://e3d-online.com/blog/2018/01/22/b...) If you are unable to remove the broken bearing from the heatsink using heat, then you should contact support@e3d-online.com.
