Heat creep on the Hemera

Hi, ive problems with jamming of the hermera extruder gears, which seems to be related to heat creep. Today the filament got stuck above the extruder gears( 2 hours bevor that, it got stuck under the extruder gears). I had to force it out with an allen key. I was stuck to the sides of the filament path because it was molten, i guess. To come to my question, what are the recommended settings for the heatbreak fan. Ive set it to 35% and 80% in the Prusaslicer. Is that to low? or are there other things i can do, do solve this problem?

it might be related to the retraction as well, maybe. I had more problems with prints with many retractions. My settings are 0.2mm lenght and 60mm/s speed. is the speed maybe to high? i didnt find any recomandations about the speed only about the lengh

Hi Lucas,

The underpowering of the Heatsink fan is likely the cause of the heatcreep. The fan must be set to 100%.

Hi Dan, thanks for your reply. I made some adjustments over the weekend. Its enough to have the fan running at 35% at minimum. In the Prusaslicer was the fan set to automatic and that led to the fan somethings being off. I´ve it now on always on with at least 35% and max 100%. That solved the problem for me.
