The stock hotend is ~18 mm taller than the V6. To install mine, I simply designed a spacer to fit between the V6 and the stock mount, and got longer screws. The thermistor is the same (both use Marlin setting of “5”), and I swapped out the heater cart for the factory (has plug for breakout board).

I think you gave me the answer I'm looking for thank you !

Just got my printer printing again, sometimes the easy solution works best. I just took the thermistor and heater and put them in a V6, and I do need a new ptfe tube, old one is now to short, had to cut it :(

Printed a small sample just to see if everything was working right. :) :)

No mods no flashing, just a 10mm spacer and longer screws. Thanks many times over !!

8mm would have been perfect, had to level the bed, an 8mm would have been better.

Hi Ronny,

Yes, you can replace the stock hotend with a V6, you would most likely need to make modifications to both the mount and the firmware in order to do so.

Suitable mounts can be found on thingiverse.com or alternatively you can design your own based of the drawings provided here: V6 Drawings

Details on the required firmware modifications can be found here: V6 Firmware Guides
