Recommended motor current for Hemera?

I looked at the Hemera Datasheet (Edition 1) and see that the stepper current is listed as 1.33A. It doesn’t specify what type of current it is. A lot of times manufactures will list the max peak current and not the max continuous current.

This 1.33A value seems high for max continuous.

Do you have a recommendation for acceptable current ranges? I prefer to run my steppers at the bottom end of this range to keep them and the drivers a bit cooler.

Hi Rob,

The 1.33A figure should be used for the vref calculation as per your stepper driver, a 10% safety margin is what I would recommend reducing that figure by for your final value.

It would be useful if this answer was actually in the guide for specific printers (RRF). took a long time to find this.
