Recommended tension for PLA using Hemera?

I’ve looked all over the documentation and can’t find anything regarding this. What’s the rule of thumb? Something like “bottom out screw and then back off 4 turns” would be helpful.

I don’t have problems with the PLA slipping but I’d prefer not to over tension, deform my filament, and make my stepper work harder than it has to.

I spent a whole day trying to work out the tension for PLA, one slip of the hob pull it all apart, after the 9 times I gave up, followed every install instruction, adjusted steps last thing trying to print a test cube for flow rate, I get about 20% printed and it starts slipping one small slip can't pull it out so pull apart try again! Old and new PLA some thing? So how do you work out the tension on to unit? I started with the white wedge level with the black holder. Any tricks to it?

Hi Rob,

Start with no tension and add tension until you are getting good grip on the filament.
