e steps for titan extruder

don’t understand the e-steps setting in marlin. I’m seeing people in forums is setting around 420, but in the tutorial you said it would be 837 with the sold motor. I bought extruder + motor, so what am I missing? (my extruder is skipping steps)

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

For a 0.9 degree motor, the steps per mm should be 837. With a 1.8 degree motor, the steps is half of this value, equalling 418.5. The motor supplied with the Aero by default, is a 0.9 degree motor. If your motor is skipping steps then you may have a torque issue. If attempts to trouble shoot lead you nowhere, then contact support, as you may need a different motor.

what I think I have is over extrussion... because ther plastic begins to look messy in higher layers, like if there's so much of it for that layer and cannot extrude new due to the pressure. I have tried with flow and flow rate of 90 and it seems to help.

I have it configured with 837 steps, and when did the measuring filament proof it worked alright... so I was wondering what other properties could I tweak to avoid that. Or should I ask this in support?

Thanks!
