E3d v6 bowden not extruding propperly hobb gear grinding

i am converting from a (Anet a8) direct drive setup to e3d v6 bowden. ive configured esteps on extruder motor . it extrudes fine and to the specified length i wanted to extrude when the bowden tube is removed from extruder. when bowden tube is installed its difficult for to extrude. i have tried turning the temps up i would normally extrude (PLA) at about 185 i’ve gone upwards of 250 now. while turning the temp up it seemed to help a little but not extruding fluidly having no extrusion and clicking at times. i did have to cut the thermistor wires to solder onto the board i have checked and looks good there. i have also recently updated marlin checked and double checked pid auto tuned. also when i took everything apart it did seem slightly difficult to push filament through extruder throat even with tip off it felt a little rough. i have used a few different rolls of filament all the same result

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Jeff,

The best place for this kind of support is to email support@e3d-online.com. The first thing to check is that the filament is able to pass through the PTFE tube without being connected to either the Extruder or the HotEnd. It is possible that the inner diameter is slightly out of tolerance can you take some measurements and send them over to support@e3d-online.com so we can sort this issue out for you.
