You either have a problem with the temperature sensor, or the wrong type is selected in the firmware. Make sure the firmware is correct and if you still get the error, then check the thermistor. As the thermistor is an NTC sensor, max temp suggests that the sensor is shorting out, or you have the wrong sensor like a pt100. First take a cold resistance reading of your temperature sensor, a thermistor should have a resistance reading of about 100 k ohms. A pt100 will have a resistance of about 100 ohms.

The thermistor will have thin blue wires ending in a Molex connector, whereas the pt100 has red wires. If you have the wrong component, a faulty one, or need more information, please contact support.

Thank you so much for responding. I feel pretty dumb to admit that I had the connector to the toolhead plugged in backwards. And for anyone else reading this I downloaded an updated version of Cura (2.6) from Lulzbot and it already had a machine profile for the mini with Titan Aero Toolhead. It came with an option to flash the firmware, even better. I am super pleased with this product after printing on my mini 3mm for 2 years I can finally run with the crowd and print 1.75mm filaments.
