Where does the new motor of the aero get connected to the mega i3?

The new motor needs power. Where does the connector go?

Do you disable old stepper motor and use that connector to the aero?

Is this a good question?

My next question is, what will power the filament feeder, or does one simply bypass it to go directly into the Aero?

Probably accounts for all the chain guides one sees…

I found a photo of the mainboard with labels. Is the right side tower X or Y, if you know.

Thanks! I sure am learning a lot here!

Hi Franklin,

yes, you will need to plug the e3d stepper motor into the plug that the original extruder motor was plugged into on the printer main board.
