Change from direct e3d v6 to bowden?

I've just bought a direct 12V E3D v6 and I realised I may use it like a bowden extruder, is that possible? Which parts should I need to buy? And how about if I want to change from 12v to 24v? What should i need? Thanks!

The components you'll need to switch from Direct to Bowden, will depend on whether you have the 1.75 or 2.85 millimetre version. If you have the 1.75, then you don't need any different components as the 1.75 V6 is identical for Direct and Bowden. All you need is an Extruder and a Bowden tube. For the 2.85 version, the heat sink is different for the Direct and Bowden versions, so you'll need a 2.85, Bowden heat sink ( If you want to switch between the two (and you have 2.85), you may want to get another heat break as it'll be sealed into the heat sink with thermal paste.

For switching the voltage you need to change the two pieces of electronics that are rated for 12 volts. That's the heater cartridge and the fan. Change those to 24 volt versions, and you have a 24 volt V6.
